Overview

The sphinx is an abdominal exercise that targets the lower back. It is performed by lying face down on the floor with your arms extended in front of you and your legs extended behind you. You then raise your head, chest, and arms off the floor while keeping your legs straight. The sphinx is a good exercise for stretching and strengthening the lower back muscles.
